Welcome to Slemish Barn!

We are homely, comfortable budget accommodation located less than an hour from both the Causeway coast and Belfast by road.

Located at the Gateway to the Glens of Antrim halfway between the beautiful fishing village of Carnlough and the garden village of Broughshane (of Channel 4 “Village of the Year” fame), we can cater for a wide variety of guests in up to 38 beds in both private rooms and dormitories. We can also host a wide variety of functions, parties, corporate groups and retreats.

We are available to be booked for large groups of 15 to 38, who want sole use of the building, for a price starting at £360 a night which can work out at less than £10 per person, or for individual rooms.

Our Guests say

“Staff was so friendly. I got a flu and the owner took care of me and gave me tea. Never met such friendly people. The room was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean too and there's everthing you need for cooking. The breakfast include cereal and bread with marmalade. 🙂 The location is good to find with google maps. But if you come with the bus, just check the bus timetable, 'cause the bus doesn't drive that much. The property is near the giants causeway. I went there with the bus and the train. It was gorgeous! Thank you very much. If I go to north ireland again, I will stay here again. ”

“Awesome hostel..very homey and comfortable. If you like out of the way places with many walking and hiking trails this is the place for you. It is a clean and the owners are so helpful and accommodating. However, a car is needed to travel to this hostel, a bus does arrive from Ballymena 3 or 4 times a day but not on the weekends. There is a large kitchen to cook and a free breakfast consisting of toast and cereal ,milk is provided. The common area is so cozy, fireplace included. I highly recommend this hostel for singles and families”
“Really nice hostel with great facilities. Lovely common areas and super kitchen. Bunk beds were good and comfy and family room (for four) was en suite toilet and shower. Very helpful and friendly owner."
